Unfortunately the laboratory is little old, so the processes where done by old machines and devices.

You learn on the job which inspires creativity and brainstorming. There were no instructions, each robot we built was unique to our group and this motivated teamwork and sharing ideas to create a feasible end product.

I was able to work on a variety of projects, develop other lab skills, and get a lot of advice from the graduate students in the lab. I also got to explore and participate in school activities that I wasn't a part of as a university student.

I wished I could have worked longer and been able to continue working on my research project which could not be continued due to issues at the supplier of the research organisms.

Advice

Look for the enjoyment in little things and keep looking for and applying to new opportunities available around you even if you don't know what you want to do.
