I liked assisting incoming international students in adjusting to life at MSU and in the U.S. and even introducing them to all the resources MSU has to offer.

Ways to encourage students to attend meetings and events.
Advice
Try and connect with your students in the cohort groups like a friend and share your experiences as well. That really helps in helping them adjust and transition.
