Communications Intern
The Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS) is looking for a creative Communications Intern to help share stories and resources with MSU’s international student and scholar community.
What you'll do:
- Collect content for the OISS Weekly email newsletter, including campus and East Lansing community events
- Interview international students and scholars and write feature stories
- Assist with other OISS engagement initiatives, including the quarterly photo contest
- Other projects as assigned by the supervisor and OISS team
You might be a great fit if you:
- Are a graduate or undergraduate student majoring in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or related field
- Enjoy writing and being creative
- Have strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Are comfortable with: MailChimp, Canva, Qualtrics, Google Forms, and social media
- Have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Are interested in working with a globally diverse community
Commitment:
- Spring Semester: ~4 hours per week (training with current Communications Intern)
- Summer Semester: ~6 hours per week (biweekly schedule, ability to work fully remote)
- Fall Semester: ~6-8 hours per week (in-person work required)
