Online Graduate Program Student Administrative Assistant

The Online Graduate Programs in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology is seeking a student employee to work approximately 10-15 hours a week for the remainder of the Spring 2026 semester and beyond, depending on availability. Rate of pay depends on skill and experience but will be approximately $14.50-$16.50/hour with potential for increase.

The student employee would provide administrative support to the Program Director and Online Programs, with some tasks extending to the broader Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. We are seeking a professional, adaptable, detail-oriented student employee with superior writing and communication skills to complete administrative and communication tasks to support program growth. A student with a background in communications and/or marketing would thrive in this position. An interest in pharmacology and toxicology/STEM communication is preferred but not required. The position will be in-person, but a hybrid model may be available after an initial training and probationary period. 

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must have working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, and Teams)
  • Excellent writing skills, creativity, and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms
  • Must have the ability to multitask with accuracy, follow directions, follow through on tasks, and meet deadlines

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of the Qualtrics Survey Tool
  • Creative design skills and/or interest in learning
  • Complete assigned tasks without a high level of supervision
  • Strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team; highly self-motivated
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter, quick learner, and dependable

Potential Job Tasks include: 

  1. Creating social media assets and scheduling social media posts for the online graduate programs and the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
  2. Administrative tasks for online graduate programs, including database and records management
  3. Orientation site and program material updates for the online graduate programs 
  4. Student and alumni survey management (familiarity with Qualtrics Survey Tool desired) 
  5. Online event support (webinar, virtual community events, etc.)
  6. Bi-Annual Program Newsletter management – developing content, newsletter compilation, etc.
